Omnichannel Shopper Behavior & Purchasing Path Study

Quantitative Geofencing Retail Consumer Mobile Diaries

The Challenge

A major retail brand wanted to segment consumer journeys across brick-and-mortar and digital storefronts to optimize ad spend. Tracking seamless transitions between mobile apps and physical store geolocations was difficult to capture accurately.

Our Approach

We deployed a mixed-method quantitative tracking setup using mobile-optimized diaries and geolocation surveys. Integrated real-time push surveys triggered by physical retail geofencing.

Results

Captured complete purchase diaries from 5,500 active shoppers across 5 markets. Achieved a 99.7% validation rate on geolocation data points.

Client Outcome

The retailer reallocated 15% of its regional digital ad spend to high-converting channels based on path-to-purchase insights, seeing immediate conversion lifts.
